BBC Music Introducing Berkshire: Ophelia Ray

Ophelia Ray is a 24 year old singer-songwriter from Henley on Thames. Her musical trio have been described by BBC Radio as having a unique and ethereal sound with similarities to Kate Bush, Siouxie Sioux and Pink Floyd. Ophelia is trained as an opera singer and merges classical disciplines with haunting folk and rock elements to create an original and other-worldly soundscape.

The Ophelia Ray band also includes concert pianist Joe Pike and guitarist Edward Bettella- both classically trained composers- bringing added intricacy and psychedelia to this unique performance.

Having only formed at the start of the year, the future is bright for this newly emerging band, with appearances at several major UK festivals and headline shows at many prestigious venues. You saw them first at Henley Festival...
