Posted on May 5, 2017

Have you got your tickets? Maybe you've got them for one night, maybe you have them for multiple. A special date night? Or perhaps you're going on a glam girls/guys night? Even if you haven't got your tickets (yet) we hope this may swing you into the right direction.

Henley Festival can be experienced in many more ways than one. This small series of blog posts will take you through a number of ways the night could take you, from Wednesday to Sunday!

Each day for the next 5 days we shall be updating this post - keep your eye on it, we may give you an idea or two on how you could spend your time at Henley Festival 2017! Without further ado...

WEDNESDAY - MID-WEEK WONDER

It's not just any Wednesday, it's Henley Festival Wednesday. The Floating Stage has been polished and the artists are ready to rumble, so it's time to get out the tuxedos and dresses and get ready for a mid-week treat! 6pm, the gates are open and the wristbands are on. Begin your sophisticated evening in one of our glorious restaurants on site this year, take your pick! St. James Restaurant? The Terrace? In every restaurant you'll find a delectable menu as well as a an extensive wine-list.

Delicious! Three course meal finished, Lawn tickets? Perfect, find your seat (although it won't be long until your feet) as Jess Glynne opens the Festival with a bang! Not quite finished with the music? Hurry down to Ronnie Scott's to catch some of the finest jazz musicians from the world renowned Ronnie Scott's Allstars.

THURSDAY - DATE NIGHT!

Ladies are you dressed to the nines? Gentlemen, are you in awe of your ladies? Rightly so! Tonight, date night just got a whole lot more romantic (and even more fun!)

Before the sun sets take a romantic stroll down to the Jazz Garden to find a tranquil oasis of sculpture and art. With your General Admission tickets, you've got free roam of the Festival site. Maybe you want to catch Vonda Shepard on the Floating Stage Sessions by PizzaExpress Live, or may head down to the Salon Comedy Club (a fantastic place to go, especially if your jokes really aren't that good!). Catch Paul Zenon for a bit of laughter and a bit of magic! A late sitting at the Dog & Badger offers an intimate dining experience, a cherry on top of your love-filled cake.

End your evening with a drink or two from the Bedouin bar and listn to duo Fraith & Branko's eclectic mix of jazz, swing and contemporary music and soak up that chilled, bohemian vibe of the venue. Now, if that doesn't get you some brownie points...

FRIDAY - FUNDAY

The black tie attire is on, you're looking sharp and that Friday feeling is well and truly here. With your Grandstand wristbands on, you know you and you family/friends are going to have a Friday that is better than the usual (you heard it here first!). With a fiery performance from The Staxs & Beverley Knight on the Floating Stage you've got a high energy performance to get you raring and ready for the big one, Chaka Khan. Better yet, why not visit the our floating bar? New to 2017, the Beckhoff Marina Bar can be your new social venue, get chatting and get sipping before the night of entertainment commences. Peckish? Take you and your company to a concession of your choice - crispy squid? sushi? pizza? We've got cuisine to suit all Festival goers!

Time to party with the Queen of Funk - Chaka. Get groovin' to those 70s & 80s classics, (I'm) Every Woman will be standing and singing along, it will be one to remember. SATURDAY - PAINT THE TOWN GOLD(IE)

It's time to get the girls and the guys together to paint the night Gold (not red, we're going a bit more glam than that). We're continuing with the notion of suave and sophistication from dusk until the early hours of the morning. Begin your evening with Pimms & Pizza from our PizzaExpress concession stand and Pimms bar, a perfect combo on a summers evening.

You and your friends know how to party, so your Lawn tickets are perfect to see a brand new type of show on the Floating Stage performed by Goldie & The Heritage Orchestra. You'll be in the front rows watching a man and an Orchestra present a world of experimental music and art. Whether you're a Drum and Bass fan or not, this performance could be the one that gives this genre of music the acclaim it truly deserves and will be one to remember. How about that for a show!?

With the Festival hours extended, why not check out our late night entertainment from the Thinking Drinkers - laughter and liquor is the way they roll. The night is still young, fancy some laughter & liquor? Check out our late night entertainment from the Thinking Drinkers in the Salon. Or perhaps you still want to dance? Pure Heaven is calling...
