Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines that convey the spirit of the New World. Our name refers to the company’s geographic position, representing wines proudly made in South America’s Southern Cone, on whose western edge lies Chile and its gifted wine valleys.
Cono Sur was born around the oldest Pinot Noir vineyards in Chile. We were the first in Chile to produce Premium Pinot Noir, and also the first to export the variety, and our family of wines extends across many beautiful expressive aromatic wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier to name but a few.
From the very start, we’ve been deeply committed to the development of our environmental policies, believing that high quality wine production can work hand-in-hand with eco-friendly practices. It's this dedication that has helped Cono Sur win the IWSC Chilean Winery of the Year in 2017 and then again in 2018.
As the morning fog lifts over the foothills of the Andes, it reveals clusters of bicycles resting on our rows of vines at the Cono Sur winery. The bicycle has become synonymous with us and embodies the philosophy of everyone who works at the vineyard, from those who handpick the grapes to the winemaker who travel from vine to vine by bike, all to protect the delicate balance of nature of the vineyards
These carefully crafted, nuanced flavours ensure Cono Sur wines compliment and perfectly pair with the natural fresh ingredients and expertly prepared flavourful dishes of Henley Festival.
