Benjamin Baker

Since winning 1st Prize at Young Concert Artists in New York and 3rd Prize at the Michael Hill Competition in New Zealand Benjamin has performed widely internationally, over the last year appearing as soloist in the UK, Europe, Lebanon, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, Russia and the USA.

Recent highlights include a critically acclaimed debut at Merkin Concert Hall in New York, recitals at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and regular appearances at Wigmore Hall.

He has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber, Philharmonia, English Chamber, BBC Concert, Auckland Philharmonia, Simón Bolívar of Venezuela and Albanian Radio Symphony Orchestras, among many others. In 2020 he makes his debut with the London Philharmonic and Christchurch (NZ) Symphony Orchestras.

Benjamin plays on a Tononi violin (1709) on generous loan.

All our non-bookable restaurants are open throughout the evening and are less busy during the floating stage concert.

YOUR VISIT

WHAT SHALL I WEAR?

The Festival has a black tie dress code.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The car park opens at 4pm, Festival gates open at 6pm.

DO I NEED A WRISTBAND?

Wristbands will be given out at the Festival gates upon presentation of a valid ticket.
