Henley Festival

Parasol Carousel

The Parasol Carousel is a truly unique and unforgettable kinetic installation created by Artist, Stephanie Reeves and Tracey Graham.

Each beautiful sculpture is made of real colourful umbrellas, creating an interesting beautiful geometric shape. They surprise the audience as, at first it isn’t obvious they are umbrellas, until you have a closer look.

Each Parasol spins when the wind blows them. It is mesmerising to watch them move at different speeds and directions to each other, completely dependent on how the wind blows.

They really come alive at night when they light up using their own 12-volt solar-charged power supply. We have seating benches located at the bottom of each Parasol so please, take a seat and get transfixed in these kinetics beauties, sure to wow all that see them.
