Sam Lake is a stand-up comedian, writer and presenter. Sam openly shares stories and details from his life as a semi-camp gay man, moving from a small mining village to a big city and gearing up to becoming a happily married man. 

Sam has been performing comedy for 4 years, and has racked up a number of achievements, including winning Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year 2018 and Hastings Fringe Newcomer of the Year 2018. He’s had multiple sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including his most recent offering, “Household Essentials”, a stand-up double-header with fellow comic Chloe Petts. He’s currently working on his debut hour for 2020, titled “Cake”. 

When not performing, Sam is co-host of the successful radio show & podcast “Driving You Homo”, a queer focused light entertainment show for Riverside Radio. He’s also been featured in multiple campaigns, including one for LADBible promoting International Coming Out Day. He’s writing has also been featured recently on Mock The Week.

All our non-bookable restaurants are open throughout the evening and are less busy during the floating stage concert.

YOUR VISIT

WHAT SHALL I WEAR?

The Festival has a black tie dress code.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The car park opens at 4pm, Festival gates open at 5pm.

DO I NEED A WRISTBAND?

Wristbands will be given out at the Festival gates upon presentation of a valid ticket.
