Fireworks & Classical 2020
With the release of next year’s programme on the horizon, we thought we would make an exclusive, explosive and extraordinary announcement….and here it is!
For Henley Festival 2020, we are working with Pains Fireworks for a fabulous ending night display. Pains’ association with Henley goes back over 100 years to when Henry J. Pain fired displays for the regatta along the same stretch of water that lines the festival grounds.
Having listened to your feedback as festival goers, we are working with Pains to design a show stopping aerial firework display with the fireworks being released from their original home, on the far side of the river.
Pains Fireworks are the largest and most historic fireworks company in the UK, delivering over 500 spectacular displays every year all over the World. They take proud of the care, creativity and attention to detail that goes into every display. Using their unmatched variety of amazing products, combined with their passion, experience and technical expertise, they will deliver that moment that you’ll never forget.
Classical Night will take place in the evening on Sunday the 12th of July with a concert that celebrates the power and glory of one of our finest orchestras and the theatre of the military. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is augmented by fully uniformed pipers, drummers and ceremonial trumpeters in music by Verdi, Bizet, Gershwin, Johann Strauss and many others. With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Stephen Bell, guest soloists Phoebe Haines, Mezzo Soprano and Benjamin Baker Violin and presented by Myleene Klass. Generously supported by The Classical Club. What better way to relax and wind down after five days of such euphoria, a beautiful end to a beautiful festival.
We have been working very hard on this years classical programme and cannot wait to reveal the work of art that is Henley Festival 2020. Watch out for a brand new visual arts programme, top class comedy and music from all around the world. With a fantastic array of dining options, you will find yourself spoilt for choice.
