8-12th JULY 2020
Henley Festival

Sequins, Champagne And Dame Shirley

What a night! Dame Shirley Bassey was everything everyone wanted and more – her guest appearance on stage with Blake and the BBC Concert Orchestra proved to be a performance the audience won’t be forgetting for years to come. Dressed in a floor-length pink sequinned gown, she still had the style, stage presence and old-school glamour she’s always been celebrated for. Blake gave a nod to Thursday night’s headliner Elvis Costello through a cover of Sheand Dame Shirley’s hotly-anticipated Goldfinger was sung with the same power as it was 50 years ago, with them ending their set together with Hey Jude.

With seven comedians taking over the Salon Comedy Club across the night from Fascinating Aida’s Dillie Keane to vintage cabaret queen Lili La Scala, there really was something for everyone.

As the night moved into the small hours, PURE HEAVEN was packed to the rafters as was the Silent Disco – a strong contender for the highlight of the week for many!

Tonight, for one last time this year, your Festival awaits you…
