Gill Storr is a London-born artist now based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
With a background in art and a Master’s in graphic design, Gill built a successful career as a company founder and creative director before transitioning to life as a full-time artist in 2017.
Her work, rooted in mixed media, photography, bold brushwork, clean colour and expressive textures to create striking pieces that fall under the term ‘abstract realism’ coining the term “Deconstructed Len” to underline her style. Whether exploring urban cityscapes, sailing and rowing scenes, or moments drawn from life, Gill’s art is defined by a fresh, intuitive approach that avoids overworking and celebrates the energy of the process.
Gill has exhibited at leading art fairs including the Affordable Art Fair, Fresh Art Fair, and the Contemporary Art Fair. And has held solo exhibitions with galleries in Marlow and London. In 2025 she curated a pop-up art gallery in Beaconsfield selling just her work to clients old and new. Her work is established with art collectors and is held in private collections across the UK, Europe and the US.
For Gill, art is not only a business but a way of life. She describes her creative process as ever-present, saying she can’t remember a time when she didn’t wake or sleep thinking about what she would create next.
