Harriet Gosling trained for three years (1986-1989) at Studio Cecil-Graves in Florence, Italy. Here Harriet studied and practiced the traditional, classical “Sight-Size” technique used by the Old Masters. A year was spent perfecting skills in charcoal and pencil and the subtleties of “chiaroscuro” (light and shade) before progressing to oils. Since returning to England, Harriet has spent most of her time working on commissioned portraits and still-life. She now also works in pastel. Harriet has had several sporting and military limited edition print runs which have sold worldwide.
