Join clown Rosie on her chaotic and charming pursuit of happiness and self acceptance!
Raindrops on Roses is a family friendly circus show that not only embraces but celebrates the reality of living with neurodiversity.
Poppy Plowman is a neurodiverse British circus artist with Turkish Cypriot origins. Specialising in tight wire she experienced her lower education in several different circus schools across Europe before graduating from Le Centre National des Arts du Cirque de Châlons en Champagne (CNAC) in 2018.
She later took up hair hanging and high wire, and has since performed in circus companies across Europe including: Le Cirques des Petites Natures, Race Horse Company, The Revel Puck Circus, Gorilla Circus & NoFit State Circus.
Poppy is best known for her all-inclusive work around the theme of intersectionality, where she explores different social identities and how they overlap with one another as well as the systems of power that advantage and disadvantage people as a result. By proactively embracing identity Poppy’s goal is to inspire anti oppressive attitudes to emerge from her audience. Through artistic innovation and high-level circus technique, Poppy Plowman creates work that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
