Raoul Orzabal

Raoul is a painter based in London who had originally grown up outside of Bristol. His work explores geometry, mixed viewpoint prospective and the interpretation of digital effects within oil painting.

The latest series of his work consists of paintings, which take months to complete, bearing large amounts of decorative detail. He studied fine art at the University of Westminster from 2013 to 2016 and has since continued to create further works and take part in-group and solo exhibitions.

As well as Oil painting, Raoul also works in digital art such as city maps built entirely of basic shapes on PowerPoint and Photoshop based collages. In 2019, he jointly won the Art Gemini Prize and in the past year has won places in group exhibitions such as the Green and Stone Summer Exhibition and Hampstead Arts society annual exhibition.

In December 2024, he had a solo exhibition at the gallery at Hampstead School of Art. Raoul also took part as a pod artist in Sky Arts Landscape painter of the year 2025.
