Compound Equity Group (“Compound”) are delighted to be sponsoring the 2026 Henley Festival. Compound is a small Henley based fund manager founded by Jonathan Knowles in August 2024. Our offices are at The Old Brewery, a short stroll away from Henley Festival.
Jonathan has a career as an investor spanning over three decades and has delivered robust long-term returns over the three decades. Compound takes a long-term view and aspires to grow our fundholders wealth substantially ahead of inflation. We strive to find companies we can invest in for the long term that have long runways to expand, we refer to this as “acorns to oaks”, with a view to gradually “compounding” fundholders wealth. Most of our investments are drawn from a list of around 200 high quality companies from around the world. Our portfolio are concentrated, generally around 25 investments.
We think of the funds we work with as akin to a global family office; global because we search the world for outstanding companies and family because we invest a substantial proportion of our personal assets in the funds for the benefit of philanthropy and future generations.
Our team is small group of highly experienced investors, currently managing around $570m across two funds, one for UK investors and one for European investors. The holdings between the two funds are identical. Our approach is focused, concentrated, patient and benchmark agnostic. We are devoid of bureaucracy, ultra focused and economically aligned to identify investments that can deliver robust absolute returns. Compound is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
