Luke Marzec’s life has always been about music, picking up violin at 7, sax at 10, and later piano. At 11, he joined the Royal College of Music’s Junior Department and spent his youth leading classical and jazz ensembles at national level.
Seeking more creative freedom, he studied philosophy at York, played in indie and jazz bands, and later left a Master’s at Trinity Laban to pursue a solo career. His 2018 debut EP Chances earned critical praise, followed by two more EPs and collaborations with artists like Maverick Sabre, VC Pines, and Jazzanova. His music has since reached over 15 million Spotify streams.
He now performs with experimental synth-jazz trio Lazy H and the Loose Cables, whose 2024 debut album Rotary Perception blends psychedelic and cinematic sounds. He also hosts Headroom, a standout London jam night for jazz and electronic musicians.
After a period of writing in rural solitude, Luke returned to London with the 2024 single Something Good Out Of Nothing. His 2025 track I Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind made Spotify’s Retro Soul playlist and was hailed by BBC Introducing as “The UK’s answer to Teddy Swims.” His debut album arrives July 2025.
