As part of Henley Festival’s Early RISErs programme sponsored by Hemani – supporting local young musicians and artists – the Early RISErs Young Artist Prize invites children aged 5–11 to take part in a special creative competition ahead of Playdate @ Henley Festival on Sunday 12th July.
This competition is now closed.
Kate Courtney-Taylor (age 7)
Percy Forbes (age 9)
Darcey Campbell (age 10)
Young Artists are encouraged to create a painting, drawing or mixed media piece inspired by the theme “My Favourite Place”. Whether it’s somewhere real or images, we’re looking for creativity, colour and personality. All artworks must be no larger than A4 and suitable for framing. The competition will be judged by a panel including a local artist.
Entries will be judged across three age groups (5–7, 8–9 and 10–11), with one winner, and two runners-up. The winner will have their work framed and all finalists will have their work exhibited at Playdate @ Henley Festival, with prizes for winners and runners-up including art supplies and tickets to attend the event with a parent or guardian.
