The Classical Club is a group of individuals with a passion for classical music and an interest in widening access to it through live performance. The Club was set up in 2018 to enable Henley Festival to continue programming classical music of the highest calibre as part of the Festival programme in July.
As a not for profit organisation, the sole aim of Henley Festival is to deliver an event that enables it to continue to offer and achieve its wider charitable goals. Whilst the ability to generate income has to be considered when programming the Festival, the need for artistic diversity is also paramount. Classical music has been an integral part of Henley Festival's heritage and has an important role to play in the variety of programming in the future. The role of the Classical Club is to raise funds to directly support the orchestra and other performers on the stage as part of the Festival.
The suggested minimum donation to join the Classical Club is £500.
